Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate multiple customer-oriented projects concurrently to ensure successful outcomes.

• Manage the scope of projects and set clear customer expectations.

• Handle project risks, actions, issues, and dependencies (RAID) effectively.

• Supervise project budgets and timelines.

• Create content for project activities such as the kickoff, status updates, and closeout.

• Facilitate project meetings with both the customer and Red Hat’s consulting team members.

• Collaborate with territory services managers and the Resource Management Office (RMO) to fulfill project staffing needs.

• Work alongside territory services managers to ensure the financial forecast is current for their respective projects.

• Acquire a foundational understanding of Red Hat’s technologies to support effective project management, including Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and Red Hat Satellite.

• Uphold professionalism while addressing problems and resolving issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a project manager or scrum master in IT or application development projects.

• Familiarity with specific project management and software delivery methodologies such as agile, scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and Project Management Institute (PMI) standards.

• Hands-on experience using various agile development tools like Trello, Rally, or Atlassian Jira, as well as project management tools like Microsoft Project.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.

• Project management or scrum certifications are advantageous.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% annually for on-site customer project activities.

• Experience managing Government and BFSI customers is a plus.

• Preferred experience in delivering PaaS solutions.
