Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Direct multiple simultaneous datacenter construction initiatives of various sizes, complexities, and stages.

• Supervise the execution of greenfield, brownfield, and retrofit engineering and design projects.

• Manage both internal and external resources to facilitate building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls scopes.

• Coordinate with internal client stakeholders and external consultants.

• Promote problem-solving and aid in the integration of new equipment and operational processes.

• Provide design and construction oversight for datacenter projects.

• Cultivate robust, productive relationships with clients and project collaborators.

• Work collaboratively and cross-train with Otak team members to enhance efficiency, quality, and project execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Construction disciplines.

• Over 7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction or design-related sectors.

• More than 3 years in data center or mission-critical construction settings and Owner Representation.

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) certification is a plus.

• Strong skills in collaboration.

• Demonstrated capability to lead engineering teams in advanced engineering and operational processes.

• PMP and/or CMIT certification (or actively pursuing); OSHA 10 Certification.

• Experience with commercial and high-tech construction, including retrofit projects.

• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, land-use processes for greenfield construction/sites, and contractual change management.

• Advanced verbal and effective written communication skills.

• Proficient in AI tools, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and construction management software.

• Proven experience in managing projects within a virtual/remote setting, with a willingness to travel as necessary.
