• Oversee the daily management of a significant, multi-year federal contract that supports Head Start and Early Head Start programs across the country.
• Supervise the execution of project management, quality assurance, communication strategies, and staffing plans.
• Ensure the punctual and compliant delivery of all contract milestones, reports, and required outputs.
• Track performance against defined metrics and proactively resolve any risks or issues that arise.
• Act as the main point of contact with government stakeholders, facilitating communications and project activities.
• Organize and lead regular status meetings, performance evaluations, and briefings.
• Maintain clear documentation of decisions, actions taken, and results achieved.
• Manage and lead a diverse team, which includes program support, grants management, data management, and analytics personnel.
• Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of project staff.
• Encourage collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Manage project budgets and staffing allocations effectively.
• Analyze monthly financial reports and assist with cost control and forecasting efforts.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and approval procedures in compliance with federal regulations.
• Support initiatives for process improvement utilizing data-driven insights.
• Advocate for consistent practices and knowledge sharing among project teams.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, public administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in project or program management.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting HHS, ACF, or Office of Head Start programs.
• A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a team setting.
• Over 1 year of experience managing complex, high-profile projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• A US government issued security clearance is required (to be initiated upon hire).
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
