This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the implementation of intricate material handling and warehouse automation initiatives with budgets reaching up to $40 million.
• Take ownership of overall project performance, encompassing scope, timeline, cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Act as the main customer-facing project leader, ensuring effective communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams, which include Engineering, Controls, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.
• Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies, and address issues that may affect project goals.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and third-party partners to ensure successful project completion.
• Track project progress, evaluate schedule performance, and execute corrective measures when necessary.
• Lead planning and execution of installation activities, resolving mechanical, operational, and site-related issues.
• Manage the financial aspects of the project, including forecasting, change management, cost control, and budget compliance.
• Promote talent development by mentoring project team members and aiding the growth of the Operations organization.
• Encourage collaboration across departments to facilitate efficient project execution and continuous improvement.
• Make prompt operational and tactical decisions to sustain project momentum and meet business objectives.
• Utilize project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Travel and work on-site as necessary, spending approximately 50% of the time at customer project sites.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Over 5 years of project management experience in material handling, warehouse automation, industrial construction, manufacturing, or similar sectors.
• Proven experience in managing large, complex projects with numerous stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Experience overseeing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Willingness to travel and maintain an on-site presence during installation and commissioning stages.
