This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• The Project Manager is tasked with assisting clients in both internal and external events and conferences, ensuring outstanding service through adept project management and innovative solutions.
• This position entails managing all facets of event operations, from the initial briefing to the post-event reconciliation process.
• Major responsibilities encompass overseeing project plans, materials, registration, transportation, hotel bookings, entertainment, food and beverage arrangements, audio/visual requirements, webcasts, staging, speaker coordination, and event execution.
• The role requires travel for onsite events, both domestically and internationally as necessary.
• 5–7+ years of experience in event management, ideally within a corporate or financial setting.
• Background in managing events, conferences, meetings, and production, including but not limited to C-level executive events, cocktail receptions, dinners, meetings, and multi-day events.
• Proven experience collaborating with and managing senior clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
• A motivated self-starter with the capability to work autonomously and project plan; innovative thinking is essential.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Preferred experience in virtual events, with familiarity in Webex and Zoom being advantageous.
• Skills in leadership, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making.
• An adaptable and resourceful individual who can follow direction while working independently; proactive in generating ideas and creative solutions.
• A customer-focused and approachable demeanor with the ability to adjust to client needs and styles, fostering strong relationships in support of their programs; flexible in adapting to changing demands and diverse client work styles.
• Exceptional client management abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ambitious, proactive, and highly organized.
• Willingness to travel to various locations for site visits and on-site event management.
• Experience with large and complex databases is preferred, particularly with Cvent.
• Familiarity with venues and suppliers in major US cities.
