This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Independently oversee and direct several intricate projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to scope, and budget compliance.
• Maintain a high billable time percentage (80%) while supervising project teams and optimizing resource utilization.
• Act as a proactive consultant, discovering opportunities for project savings, optimizing timelines, and managing changes in project scope.
• Skillfully manage project dependencies, critical paths, and workback plans, ensuring that risks are identified, documented, and mitigated effectively.
• Function as a trusted advisor to clients, adeptly managing difficult communications and fostering strong, long-lasting relationships.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance client relationships, resulting in increased billable work.
• Clearly communicate complex requirements and project modifications to clients, ensuring alignment on objectives and expectations.
• Mentor and support fellow project managers, sharing expertise in project management best practices, tool usage, and risk management.
• Lead project retrospectives to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and recommend process changes to boost team performance.
• Actively participate in developing internal templates, documentation, and processes to enhance project management practices.
• Showcase expert knowledge of Shopify, including content management, data migrations, and integrations with systems such as PIM and ERP.
• Use and coach others on Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), time management tools (Productive), and other common project management software (Gdrive, Smartsheet, Front, Notion).
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in project management, especially within ecommerce or digital product environments.
• Expert knowledge of Shopify, including admin management, data migrations, and integrations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to manage challenging client interactions independently.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and lead projects with minimal supervision.
• Open to feedback and dedicated to continuous improvement, both personally and within the team.
• A dependable and reassuring collaborator, with a strong emphasis on team success and client satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of Liquid, Javascript, React, Tailwind CSS, GraphQL, REST.
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence or other ticket management systems.
• 2-3 years of experience in eCommerce.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in writing software documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Capacity to clearly explain complex systems to other team members and gain buy-in.
• Manages personal workload on a weekly basis.
• Consistently produces high-quality work on time.
• Exhibits above-average productivity.
