Project Management Principal – ESM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the portfolio of ServiceNow ITAM/HAM/SAM, CMDB, and related integration initiatives, including those driven by audits.

• Develop and sustain integrated delivery plans that encompass process, data, integrations, discovery, reporting, and enablement workstreams.

• Take ownership of delivery speed, dependency management, and milestone tracking across global teams.

• Actively manage delivery risks in data-centric and audit-sensitive programs, ensuring CMDB accuracy, reconciliation processes, and integration dependencies are maintained.

• Implement strict scope discipline and sequencing to avoid uncontrolled expansion until foundational maturity is achieved.

• Facilitate executive decision-making by clearly communicating trade-offs, risks, and implications.

• Foster structured stakeholder engagement among Leadership, Program Sponsors, Enterprise Process Owners, Operational Teams, Security, Infrastructure, and Business Owners.

• Collaborate closely with Enterprise Process Owners who may not have extensive ServiceNow functional expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in technical program or project management within large-scale IT environments.

• Proven leadership in ServiceNow HAM / SAM / ITAM / CMDB programs, including audit-driven and full lifecycle implementations, or heavily integrated data platforms.

• Strong comprehension of integrations, discovery, reconciliation concepts, and delivery driven by audits (hands-on configuration is not a requirement).

• Established track record of delivering complex solutions utilizing OOTB core functionality, even with focused modules, while designing governance and controls on the ServiceNow core platform.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively function in environments with changing functional ownership and varying platform maturity.

• Advanced skills in executive communication, including escalation of delivery risks and making scope trade-off and de-scoping decisions.

• Experience leading global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
