This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assists the Business Unit Controller in recording monthly revenue for Unit, Fee for Service, and Fixed Price contracts; uploads project budgets into Oracle / Revenue Wizard while maintaining key member lists (project setup) and other associated project data in Oracle and related systems and schedules.
• Prepares monthly variance analysis comparing actuals to budget/forecast for projects and generates monthly reports for distribution to analyze results; drafts monthly financial forecasting of backlog; adheres to established deadlines for Revenue and Backlog submissions; ensures timely preparation of project closeout reconciliations; reviews executed Work Orders and Change Orders for any bonuses or anomalies with assistance.
• Collaborates closely with the Business Unit Controller to capture, evaluate, and consolidate results; generates key reports such as annual cost and expense budgets, cost rates, expense forecasting, monthly utilization, headcount, revenue backlog analysis, and gross profit for the assigned area while updating predefined reports.
• Participates in project meetings as needed to support assigned responsibilities; attends project kick-off meetings to gather and process relevant data for the setup of newly awarded projects in financial systems and schedules; attends monthly project review (MPRs) meetings to ensure comprehension and agreement on project status, potential issues, and forecast accuracy.
• Oversees the overall health of assigned projects, which includes monitoring revenues, gross profit, receivables, and unbilled amounts, as well as managing project closeouts and reconciliations.
• A minimum of a 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software packages is required.
• Experience with Oracle Finance is preferred.
• Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a high degree of personal motivation to succeed.
• Proven ability to manage confidential and sensitive data effectively.
• Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
