Project Engineer, German Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.

📋 Description

• Install and set up laboratory software systems.

• Integrate software into laboratory workflows, including mapping daily operations.

• Deliver and execute Laboratory Information System (LIS) projects.

• Serve as a subject matter expert in your area of expertise.

• Function as a reliable technical contact for clients during projects and assignments.

• Support the adoption of emerging technologies, including data-driven and AI-enabled solutions.

• Identify opportunities to enhance laboratory workflows and system performance.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager or Customer Services Manager, adhering to their guidance and planning.

• Propose solutions and identify technical risks, particularly those related to data integrity and AI functionalities, and communicate them effectively.

• Prepare execution plans and necessary documentation.

• Ensure all work is accurately documented in internal systems (projects and aftersales).

• Complete assigned tasks in accordance with project plans, budgets, and quality standards.

• Assume full responsibility for all technical aspects of assigned tasks.

• Keep stakeholders updated on progress and risks.

• Exhibit flexibility and support during on-site customer implementations.

• Manage and execute small projects or sub-projects.

• Provide customer training, including guidance on system data usage and reporting capabilities.

• Act as a liaison between customers and development teams.

• Organize and facilitate internal and external project handovers.

• Carry out update and upgrade projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

• Alternatively: IT technical training combined with experience in medical laboratory processes.

• Experience in the implementation of LIS / LIMS systems.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory processes and organizational structure.

• Familiarity with common IT applications.

• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) / LIMS.

• Knowledge of healthcare communication standards (HL7, ASTM, IHE).

• Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and virtualization.

• Fluency in Dutch and English (French is a plus).
