This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise capital projects to guarantee adherence to the Thermal Energy Services Agreement (TESA), achieving safety, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Manage a variety of industrial decarbonization initiatives throughout all phases of the Stage-Gate Process, from proposal to ongoing operations and maintenance (O&M).
• Collaborate with all project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, financiers, program managers, engineering firms, permitting authorities, and contractors.
• Develop and oversee project budgets and timelines.
• Identify and address project risks through proactive measures.
• Act as the primary point of contact between customers and project stakeholders.
• Supervise the procurement process for each project.
• Track and report on project progress, including metrics related to cost, schedule, scope, and risk.
• Lead the bidding process for engineering firms, suppliers, and contractors.
• Negotiate to enhance customer satisfaction while minimizing costs, scope creep, and delays.
• Comprehend and negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Evaluate vendor, supplier, consultant, and contractor bids and engineering designs for accuracy and completeness.
• Apply lessons learned to enhance future project processes.
• Successfully deliver industrial decarbonization projects to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 7 years of engineering and/or project management experience in a brownfield industrial construction setting (preferably in food & beverage, ethanol, chemical, or pulp & paper sectors).
• More than 5 years of project management experience leading significant CapEx projects (greater than $20MM) that involve multiple functions, disciplines, customers, and sites.
• Proven track record in managing engineering firms, consultants, suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Familiarity with fixed and rotating equipment, MW-scale electrical infrastructure, and the Stage-Gate project delivery methodology.
• Technical expertise in engineering and construction, including mechanical, piping, civil, structural, process, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Experience in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, managing industrial manufacturing equipment and controls.
• Understanding of contract management, team building, and client relationship management.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to contribute to and oversee multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical and non-technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations as required (approximately 20% on average annually, which may include international travel).
• Capability to work remotely from a home office and at project sites as necessary.

• 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or project management, specifically in brownfield industrial capital projects (ideally in food & beverage, chemical, or pulp & paper sectors).
• 7+ years of experience leading significant CapEx projects (greater than $20MM) involving multiple functions, disciplines, customers, and sites.
• Project management experience with an Owner/Operator rather than an EPC firm or General Contractor.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience executing projects with grant funding (federal, state, and/or local).
• Understanding of project finance and experience collaborating with various financial stakeholders.
• Base salary: $100,000 – $150,000.
