Project Development Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage with electric utility companies, transmission system operators, renewable energy developers, bitcoin miners, data center firms, landowners, and other stakeholders to facilitate project development.

• Strategically plan, coordinate, and implement project plans alongside internal and external resources to attain notice to proceed and commercial operation milestones.

• Oversee certain projects while providing development assistance on others related to due diligence, engineering, procurement, construction, contracting, and financing as needed.

• Consistently update project management and CRM tools to ensure data consistency.

• Create, maintain, and enhance project maps, databases, and tracking tools, while also improving processes and tools.

• Undertake ad hoc projects and initiatives that align with the company's mission, development strategy, or the requirements of the Sales or Product teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2+ years of experience in developing utility-scale energy projects or energy storage projects.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Business, Environmental Studies, etc.).

• Understanding of power sales agreements, including PPA structures and retail contracts, as well as energy markets.

• Experience with utility-scale energy projects, storage projects, and/or data center project value propositions along with corresponding engineering design and fundamentals.

• Familiarity with land lease agreements, general permitting, interconnection, and other entitlements essential for renewable energy projects.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts both verbally and in writing.

• Self-driven with the ability to adapt and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously while prioritizing effectively.

• A proactive mindset towards problem-solving.
