Project Developer – Federal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development of intricate projects by identifying, evaluating, and structuring technical and financial solutions to address our federal clients’ challenges in resiliency, energy efficiency, and capital improvements.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of diverse technology offerings and possess the communication and business acumen required to connect the sales, engineering, construction management, and O&M teams.

• Convert customer requirements into strategic and technical direction for the development team.

• Engage with senior executives from both our organization and the client’s organization to ensure that projects are customer-focused and risk-averse.

• Offer technical and financial support for sales initiatives.

• Execute financial modeling for Energy Performance Contracts.

• Lead and coordinate the proposal team while conducting reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree is required.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a project developer, project engineer, and/or in project management.

• Must be a US citizen due to contractual obligations.

• Experience with Federal ESPC and UESC projects is advantageous.

• Preferred experience in developing Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects and/or Utility Energy Service Contracts (UESC).

• General engineering knowledge of HVAC, lighting and lighting controls, DDC/pneumatic controls, and building envelope is essential.

• Experience with resiliency measures, such as onsite generation (PV, CHP, etc.), battery storage, and microgrid, is a distinct advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.

• Strong skills in technical writing.

• A sales-oriented mindset along with sharp business insight.

• Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership abilities.
