This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop 2D/3D layouts for automated storage solutions.
• Convert customer architectural, structural, and MEP building drawings into design-ready foundational models.
• Assess system compatibility, clearances, travel pathways, maintenance access, and adherence to code compliance standards.
• Generate design specifics and documentation packages for internal evaluations and customer approvals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system concepts into feasible designs.
• Facilitate planning and coordination with controls, electrical, mechanical, and safety engineering teams, both on the customer side and within Mytra.
• Revise designs throughout the project lifecycle as customer facility conditions or needs change.
• Engage in design review meetings, gather feedback, and execute revisions.
• Participate in scoping calls or site visits to grasp operational requirements and limitations.
• Clearly convey design intent through visuals, drawings, and written documentation.
• Offer technical insights and assistance during customer presentations or milestone evaluations.
• Ensure drawing precision, revision management, and compliance with company design standards.
• Aid in the upkeep and enhancement of design libraries, templates, and best practices.
• Support material takeoffs relevant to procurement, equipment specifications, and critical design requirements when applicable.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Revit, Rhino+Grasshopper) or similar; knowledge of Onshape is advantageous.
• Familiarity with material handling systems, warehouse operations, or industrial automation.
• Capability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.
• Strong spatial reasoning and layout optimization abilities.
• Practical knowledge of Fire Life Safety and Fire Protection codes and requirements.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design or drafting within automation, manufacturing, warehouse equipment, construction, or related sectors.
• Background in project-based work, engineering documentation, or system integration.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, or industrial equipment design is essential.
