Project Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Create documents, drawings, and diagrams that align with the client’s requirements and objectives.

• Develop initial space plans and sketches that reflect the needs of the client.

• Ensure that initial space plans and design concepts prioritize safety, functionality, visual appeal, and comply with all public health, safety, and welfare standards.

• Select colors, materials, and finishes that effectively express the concept while considering socio-psychological, functional, maintenance, lifecycle performance, environmental, and safety criteria.

• Define and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product descriptions, along with providing contract documentation to aid in pricing, procurement, and installation of furniture.

• Collaborate and coordinate with other design professionals who may be engaged to offer consulting services.

• Verify that construction documents for non-structural and/or non-seismic projects are signed and sealed by the responsible interior designer, in accordance with jurisdictional requirements for submission to code enforcement officials.

• Assist in the administration of contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client’s representative.

• Report on project implementation during progress and upon completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of design experience in the commercial real estate sector.

• A Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a related field (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management, etc.) is preferred, OR a Bachelor’s degree in a different major combined with an Interior Design Certification, Degree, or Diploma.

• Proficiency in Revit, gained through professional or academic experience.

• Strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, as well as work independently.

• Experience in coordinating Audio Visual and other specialized consultants.
