Project Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop initial space plans and sketches that align with the client's requirements.

• Ensure that the preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, visually appealing, and comply with all public health, safety, and welfare standards.

• Select colors, materials, and finishes that effectively communicate the concept while addressing socio-psychological, functional, maintenance, lifecycle performance, environmental, and safety considerations.

• Specify and select furniture, fixtures, equipment, and millwork, including layout drawings and detailed product descriptions; provide contract documentation to assist with pricing, procurement, and installation of furnishings.

• Collaborate and coordinate with other design professionals who may be engaged for consulting services.

• Ensure that construction documents for non-structural and/or non-seismic projects are signed and sealed by the responsible interior designer, in compliance with jurisdictional filing requirements for code enforcement officials.

• Assist in managing contract documents, bids, and negotiations as the client's representative.

• Report on project implementation during progress and upon completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years of design experience in the commercial real estate sector.

• A Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in a relevant field (e.g., Architecture, Interior Design, Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Project or Construction Management) is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree in a different subject along with Interior Design Certification, Degree, or Diploma.

• Experience in space planning using Revit.

• Strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.

• Proficiency in coordinating with Audio Visual and other specialty consultants.
