• Plans, supports, and oversees the activities of a project group within a specified area of authorization.
• Accountable for executing technology-driven solutions in collaboration with clients that align with business requirements, delivered on time and within approved project budgets.
• Identifies areas for business improvement through the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements.
• Ensures compliance with all information systems standards during the development of business solutions.
• Facilitates and coordinates the business planning process for moderately complex and medium-sized projects.
• Prepares project estimates and reports on cost constraints and considerations.
• Develops and manages project documentation, which includes the Project Plan, Business Case, and outlines costs, timelines, risk management strategies, contingency plans, resource strategies, project structure, reporting expectations, and management approaches to be utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviews project requirements with clients and prepares documentation, including project plans, to initiate projects following standard project management practices and procedures.
• Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the project plan are communicated to the client.
• Collaborates with Delivery Project Execution teams to ensure project services are executed efficiently and to the satisfaction of the client.
• Assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of assigned Delivery Project Execution staff using standard ISM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Assesses the scope, feasibility, and cost of upgrades, conversions, and other desktop projects as necessary to implement business solutions.
• Secures commitment from all stakeholders and recommends project plans to management and clients.
• Advises and facilitates the resolution of systems issues for clients concerning unique or unresolved problems or requirements arising from the client project plan.
• Participates in post-implementation reviews, documenting results and recommendations; surveys and documents feedback and overall satisfaction from users and Business Sponsors.
• Maintains familiarity with all client groups to coordinate the services of the Business Operations Unit with other internal and external entities.
• Promotes the services, technological capabilities, and expertise of ISM Canada, including managing client expectations regarding service levels, capabilities, and project timelines.
• Monitors client satisfaction with project deliverables.
• Develops project management guidelines, procedures, and templates.
• Provides project guidance and leadership to team members and clients as required.
• An undergraduate degree from a recognized university (in business and/or information technology) along with Project Management certification (PMP) obtained or training completed/in progress with a plan to achieve certification; plus a minimum of two years of progressively responsible Project Management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Proficient in managing small to medium IT projects and/or programs.
• Experienced in providing leadership to small to medium teams.
• Capable of delivering clear professional verbal and written communication to various audiences, including employees and clients.
• Skilled in managing priorities and coordinating the allocation of project resources.
