This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
• Oversee daily operations of the Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments.
• Direct and manage departmental staff, including scheduling, responsibilities, delegation, and performance assessment.
• Organize and prioritize field projects to ensure timely completion.
• Act as a liaison between project coordinators, field technicians, clients, laboratories, and internal teams.
• Manage client interactions, project updates, clearance results, technical inquiries, pricing, proposals, and service issues.
• Analyze and interpret laboratory results and technical findings.
• Supervise the preparation, review, and approval of reports, reporting tables, invoices, emails, and other client deliverables.
• Collaborate with laboratories regarding sample analysis, results, turnaround times, and timeline challenges.
• Cross-train team members and create efficient workflows.
• Conduct department meetings, track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve deadline or client-satisfaction issues.
• Train, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Address complex operational and client challenges in a dynamic environment.
• Foster strong client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Operations Director with departmental planning, resource allocation, and process enhancements.
• Be available to work outside normal business hours, including occasional Saturdays, as required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the environmental sector or a related field.
• Prior experience in supervising staff and managing departmental operations, schedules, and workloads.
• Strong skills in project coordination and organization.
• Effective leadership, delegation, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of effective communication with clients, field technicians, laboratories, homeowners, and internal teams.
• Familiarity with environmental testing, laboratory analysis, and related technical concepts.
• Experience in reviewing and interpreting laboratory results, technical reports, and other project documentation.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn company databases, project management systems, and other software applications.
• Competent in working effectively under pressure, solving problems swiftly, and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and advancing team members' skills.
• Proficiency in English at B2 level or higher.
• High standards of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.
• Proactive in identifying and eliminating obstacles.
• Demonstrated remote work experience.
• Established home office setup, reliable computer, quality headset, and stable internet connection.
• Willingness to work a Monday-Saturday operational schedule as needed, including occasional work during non-standard hours.
• Preferred: experience in environmental consulting, environmental testing, industrial hygiene, or similar technical services.
• Preferred: certifications in Asbestos, Lead, or Industrial Hygiene, such as CAC, LI-RA, or CMI.
• Preferred: prior laboratory experience.
