Program Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Program Director and Program Manager to offer technical, administrative, and managerial assistance.

• Aid in the effective design and execution of the UP for Change initiative.

• Oversee program activities, pinpoint challenges, and facilitate timely resolutions.

• Coordinate with consultants and vendors, outlining the scope of work and evaluating deliverables.

• Promote accessible and inclusive programming for youth and project stakeholders.

• Engage and support youth participants aged 14-25.

• Manage and supervise program grants to guarantee approval and compliance.

• Assess partner performance and provide constructive feedback.

• Assist in budget oversight and expense management.

• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (Education, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy, or related fields).

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in youth development, education, workforce development, or the implementation of youth leadership/agency programs.

• Exceptional organizational, administrative, and program management abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote setting.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with a multicultural and interdisciplinary team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.

• Advanced critical thinking skills with the capability to identify and resolve issues promptly.

• Ability to engage meaningfully and partner with youth from diverse backgrounds.

• A strong dedication to youth development, diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and child safeguarding.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Experience in facilitating youth and/or adult programs.

• Flexibility to work evenings to facilitate youth programming activities and sessions.

• Capability to travel to the U.S.

• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically, with occasional international travel.
