This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide support for program and project management across NWS portfolios, programs, and IT initiatives.
• Assist in the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects in line with established project management principles.
• Create and update project schedules, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), risk registers, and status reports.
• Monitor and track costs, schedules, scope, performance metrics, risks, and action items.
• Aid in Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) activities, including investment reporting, baseline change requests, and data calls.
• Prepare and uphold project documentation such as plans, briefings, reports, charters, SOPs, and business process records.
• Facilitate and support governance forums, Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, and reviews with stakeholders.
• Assist with budget development, execution tracking, and financial reporting.
• Support acquisition processes including Requests for Information (RFIs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and procurement documentation (non-inherently governmental).
• Deliver clear and concise written and spoken communications to both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
• Assist with audits, independent evaluations, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business, management, IT, or a related discipline.
• Active Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification or an equivalent credential.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in supporting federal IT programs or projects.
• Strong comprehension of portfolio, program, and project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with CPIC processes, OMB Circular A-11, and federal IT governance standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Smartsheet, Visio, and cloud-based collaboration tools.
• Due to federal contract stipulations, candidates must be U.S. citizens.
