Program Manager – Fire & Aviation Management Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)

• Oversee and manage all contract-related activities, deliverables, and reporting obligations

• Track project costs, schedules, and performance metrics

• Conduct regular meetings with government program managers to provide updates on deliverables and project challenges

• Assist in the development of overall strategies at both the project and program levels

• Organize travel authorizations and ensure adherence to Federal Travel Regulations

• Prepare and submit invoices using the Treasury's Invoice Processing Platform (IPP)

• Confirm that all deliverables are accurate, complete, and submitted on time and within budget

• Aid the Executive Consultant in liaising with senior FAM leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of one year of project management experience

• Proven ability in effective oral and written communication, planning, leadership, and operational skills

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field along with at least five (5) years of progressive program/project management experience, or an associate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience

• Experience in federal contracting, with an understanding of FAR, contract types, and government invoicing processes

• Familiarity with USDA/USFS - Previous work with USDA agencies is highly preferred

• PMP or equivalent certification - Indicates formal project management training

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Required as per SOW; must effectively brief government leadership

• Strong planning and organizational abilities - Capable of managing multiple deliverables and stakeholders concurrently

• Leadership skills - Ability to coordinate between contractor personnel and government staff

• Proficiency in federal systems - Experience with IPP, SAM.gov, and government collaboration tools

• Eligibility for security clearance - Must be able to pass the USDA background investigation
