Program Manager, Facility Design, Data Centers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Deliver program-level leadership for multiple simultaneous data center design initiatives.

• Oversee program performance metrics, including timelines, budgets, staffing, and risk management.

• Identify and address program-level constraints that may affect delivery.

• Ensure uniform execution across various projects and clients.

• Assist Design Managers and Project Managers in achieving successful project delivery.

• Aid in business development and the preparation of proposals for new opportunities.

• Spearhead significant technical and commercial proposals, which encompass go/no-go assessments, schedules, deliverables, fee strategies, staffing plans, executive reviews, and interview preparations.

• Collaborate with Client Account Managers and Technical Leaders.

• Enhance proposal processes, templates, and winning strategies.

• Contribute to capture planning for strategic initiatives.

• Act as a primary contact for strategic clients.

• Engage in client meetings, presentations, and program evaluations.

• Facilitate client relationship management and pinpoint new opportunities within ongoing programs.

• Assist in managing client expectations and the overall client experience.

• Travel as required for client meetings, site visits, project milestones, and onsite collaboration.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, design directors, client account managers, and discipline leaders to foster revenue growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, supplemented by eight (8) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.

• At least 5+ years of experience managing complex programs or major projects.

• Proven experience in supporting or leading proposal initiatives.

• Strong grasp of A/E/C project delivery processes.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

• Solid business and financial acumen.

• Capable of managing multiple concurrent priorities.

• Preferred: 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Direct experience in supporting data center projects is preferred.

• Experience with hyperscale or colocation clients is preferred.

• Familiarity with managing large multidisciplinary design teams is preferred.

• Knowledge of Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery models is preferred.

• PMP certification is preferred.

• Professional licensure as an Architect or Engineer is advantageous but not mandatory.
