This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of a large-scale AI data center campus.
• Manage the entire construction lifecycle — from pre-construction to commissioning and handover — ensuring that schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met.
• Engage in constructability reviews, value engineering discussions, and design coordination meetings to guarantee construction-ready documents and optimized project execution.
• Create detailed construction execution plans, including phasing strategies, logistics plans, site utilization layouts, and temporary facility requirements for the AI campus.
• Direct the subcontractor procurement process, including bid solicitation, scope leveling, bid analysis, contract negotiation, and subcontract award for all major trade packages.
• Establish project-specific protocols for document control, RFI management, submittal processing, change order administration, and progress reporting.
• Develop, manage, and sustain a detailed CPM construction schedule using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, integrating all disciplines, milestones, and long-lead procurement items.
• Oversee the project budget from notice-to-proceed to final closeout, monitoring committed costs, actual expenditures, forecasted costs-to-complete, and projected final costs against the approved GMP or lump sum contract value.
• Enforce the project-specific quality management plan, ensuring that all work adheres to the stringent quality standards required for mission-critical AI data center infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction, with a strong preference for candidates possessing data center, mission-critical facility, or heavy MEP construction expertise.
• Proven experience managing projects valued at $500M+ from pre-construction to closeout, with direct responsibility for schedule, budget, quality, and safety results.
• Familiarity with design-build, CM-at-Risk, or GMP contract delivery methods in fast-track construction projects.
• Knowledge of Tier III/IV data center design standards, ASHRAE guidelines for data center cooling, and the specific construction needs of hyperscale and AI computing facilities is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with experience directly managing field engineers, project engineers, and administrative staff while coordinating extensive subcontractor workforces.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear presentation of project status, risk assessments, and recommendations to executive leadership, clients, and design professionals.
• Proven negotiation abilities for subcontract scoping, change order resolution, and conflict management among various trades and stakeholders.
• A problem-solving mindset with the capacity to assess field conditions, evaluate alternatives, make sound decisions under pressure, and communicate resolutions to all relevant parties.
