Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of recurring Zero Trust maturity assessments, enterprise architecture initiatives, and system implementation projects.

• Manage the integrated delivery timeline for monthly scorecards, quarterly maturity evaluations, use cases, engineering strategies, testing plans, implementation timelines, and impact assessments.

• Monitor Government inputs, access prerequisites, approvals, testing periods, implementation risks, and scheduling effects; assist in resequencing when dependencies influence delivery.

• Organize deployment phases and complexity-tier planning for implementation assistance across Government-prioritized FISMA-reportable systems.

• Facilitate regular contractor delivery reviews and generate clear status, risk, decision, and action reports for Government stakeholders.

• Ensure that lessons learned from system implementations are integrated into maturity evaluations, architectural patterns, and future implementation priorities.

• Collaborate closely with the Principal Zero Trust Architect and pillar specialists.

• Coordinate contractor deliveries while not assuming operational ownership of VA systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

• At least five years of experience in managing complex Federal cybersecurity, Zero Trust, enterprise architecture, or technical implementation programs.

• Proven experience in managing integrated schedules, technical dependencies, deliverables, risks, and multi-team execution.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and Federal cybersecurity guidelines, including the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model and NIST SP 800-207.

• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, technical coordination abilities, and proficiency in executive reporting.

• Experience working with the VA or another large Federal enterprise is preferred.

• Background in coordinating architecture and engineering efforts across cloud, hybrid, legacy, and mission-critical environments is preferred.

• Proficiency with Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or similar delivery platforms is preferred.

• One or more of the following certifications: PMP, CISSP, CISM, Security+ is preferred.
