This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Oversee and manage Chester County Compeer’s community-driven, all-volunteer support initiative that connects adults in mental health recovery with trained volunteer companions.
• Provide services that promote stability, recovery, and integration into the community for adults facing mental health challenges.
• Recruit, match, retain, interview, screen, train, and support both volunteers and individuals in recovery.
• Inform adults in recovery and mental health professionals about Compeer and secure referrals.
• Offer interim support for pending referrals through newsletters, events, phone calls, and emails.
• Maintain continuous communication with around 85 program participants via email, phone calls, newsletters, personal interactions, and social media.
• Conduct community outreach to enhance visibility, generate referrals, and build partnerships.
• Assist in the development and management of the program budget.
• Plan and execute participant services while managing record-keeping, including logs, incident reports, progress notes, and participant charts.
• Handle intake and referral processes, reviewing and approving participant enrollment and closure.
• Hold supervisory meetings with the Coordinator – Compeer.
• Lead Advisory Board members and coordinate quarterly county-wide events, fundraising activities, meetings, and special programs.
• Cultivate relationships with funders and governing bodies, seek private funding, write grants, and maintain financial reporting.
• Engage in public relations, marketing, public speaking, and outreach throughout Chester County.
• Contribute to MHP strategies and initiatives, recommend best practices, develop innovative services, and address complex service-delivery challenges.
• Manage projects with moderate resource needs and oversee project costs.
• Supervise service delivery and data quality, interact with Chester County MH/IDD officials, and provide performance data and reports.
• Ensure adherence to accreditation, certification, and regulatory standards.
• Review, develop, and implement services for unmet needs; maintain forms, manuals, guides, policies, and procedures.
• Support other MHP services, alert leadership to issues, and provide data for city, state, and federal funding reports.
• Report potential breaches of laws, regulations, policies, or procedures and attend unemployment hearings as necessary.
• Exemplify MHP’s recovery-oriented principles and undertake other related duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• 3–5 years of experience in mental health is essential.
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to initiate tasks independently.
• Possess patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion, tact, and sensitivity.
• Capability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized and dependable, with a prompt response to needs.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and writing abilities.
• Comfortable with public speaking and leading small meetings.
• Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, email, and internet usage.
• Must live in the Chester County Area.
