This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and growth of H-CAP’s Registered Apprenticeship Program within the healthcare sector.
• Partner with employers, educational institutions, labor-management organizations, unions, and other stakeholders.
• Spearhead outreach and engagement initiatives for Registered Apprenticeship opportunities.
• Aid partners in creating and executing Registered Apprenticeship programs.
• Organize webinars, forums, career fairs, training sessions, and other educational activities.
• Formulate and execute outreach and recruitment strategies.
• Conduct informational sessions for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Produce materials that support Registered Apprenticeship outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with the Data and Communications team on promotional and marketing initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and submit outreach plans.
• Monitor deliverables for compliance with grants and contracts.
• Input data into tracking systems and prepare progress reports.
• Build multi-employer apprenticeship programs across various states and occupations.
• Provide support to the SEIU/AFSCME National Center for Healthcare Apprenticeships.
• Keep abreast of trends in healthcare workforce development and training.
• Devise and execute programs that support board members and the H-CAP Education Association.
• Collaborate with labor-management program staff and leadership.
• Undertake additional related duties as assigned.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management.
• Strong project coordination and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and workforce development.
• Understanding of Registered Apprenticeship and the Registered Apprenticeship System.
• Experience in developing workforce development programs with both large and small healthcare employers.
• Background in post-secondary education and adult education programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Comfort and ability to present to diverse audiences through both virtual and in-person formats.
• Work experience or familiarity with union or labor-management settings.
• Established connections with healthcare employers, industry associations, unions, labor-management organizations, workforce boards, and education partners.
• Experience in grant writing and reporting.
• Proficiency with database systems and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Availability during regular business hours, specifically from 9:00am to 5:00pm, in the employee’s time zone.
• An appropriate home workspace that offers sufficient space and minimal distractions.
• Minimum internet speed of 25MB download and 10MB upload.
• H-CAP must be the employee’s sole employer; concurrent employment is strictly prohibited.
• 4 weeks of accrued vacation per year after 3 months of full-time employment.
• 3 personal days annually.
• 12 sick days per year.
