This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee comprehensive program management tasks, including planning, initiating, executing, monitoring, and closing, for care management workstreams associated with the VA Office of Suicide Prevention’s Elevated Risk initiative.
• Act as the main point of contact and communication link between the contractor team and VA program leadership.
• Facilitate effective communication, address issues, and ensure alignment with OSP's strategic priorities and performance objectives.
• Create and sustain project plans, schedules, risk registers, status reports, and performance dashboards.
• Coordinate cross-functional workgroups that involve VA clinical personnel, policy experts, and IT stakeholders.
• Assist in integrating care management protocols within the larger VA healthcare delivery system.
• Monitor performance in relation to established metrics and milestones, identify risks or deficiencies, and recommend corrective measures.
• Support federal reporting obligations, including briefings, white papers, Congressional reports, and other related documents.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare program management.
• Proven expertise in integrated health system operations, care coordination, or behavioral health program support.
• A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
• At least 6 years of experience supporting a large corporation or federal government agency.
• Direct experience working within or alongside the Department of Veterans Affairs or another federal health agency is highly preferred.
• Capability to obtain and maintain VA network access.
• Must satisfy all applicable VA background investigation and suitability criteria.
• An active government security clearance or previous federal suitability determination is advantageous.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• U.S. citizenship may be necessary to comply with VA facility access and background check requirements.
• An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent recognized project/program management credential is required at the time of application.
• Previous experience supporting the VA Office of Suicide Prevention, VA Mental Health, or a similar federal behavioral health program is desirable.
• Familiarity with VA Directives, VHA Handbooks, and federal acquisition regulations (FAR) is preferred.
• Experience with VistA, CPRS, SPAN, or comparable clinical data tools is preferred.
• Understanding of evidence-based care management models for high-risk populations is desirable.
• Experience in creating executive-level briefings, program status reports, or Congressional deliverables is preferred.
