This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Oversee and guide large singular teams or multiple smaller groups of field-based MSLs, PDLs, CTLs, and similar professionals.
• Achieve client-specific project KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Lead and facilitate recruitment processes, including second-stage interviews, assessment centers, candidate selection, onboarding, and induction.
• Ensure that field teams possess the necessary therapeutic and product knowledge to engage with healthcare professionals in a compliant manner.
• Manage daily operations of field teams, focusing on implementation, execution, performance, retention, and growth.
• Execute the overall client strategy along with strategic field plans.
• Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs.
• Provide consultancy to clients regarding localized planning and medical strategy.
• Generate reports for internal, external, client, leadership, and quarterly business reviews.
• Collect insights to guide future strategies and solutions.
• Conduct performance management, appraisals, remuneration processes, coaching, training, and pastoral care.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and address issues with Medical, HR, Finance, and Account Director stakeholders.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding efforts with Talent Acquisition, HR, Project Management, and clients.
• Convert program requirements into operational tasks and KPIs.
• Handle employee relations, contractual matters, absenteeism, disciplinary actions, and performance issues.
• Perform regular field visits and one-on-one meetings.
• Maintain expertise in scientific and technical knowledge, therapy areas, clinical literature, treatment pathways, and product information.
• Establish connections with key national and international stakeholders.
• Provide support to teams at both national and international congresses when necessary.
• Manage budgets, offers, travel and expenses, forecasting, financial systems, and ROI.
• Assist with renewals, redeployment, processing leavers, business development, and process improvements.
• Degree level education or equivalent – a scientific background is highly desirable.
• 3-5 years of previous experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, with a solid understanding of drug development.
• Proven experience in people management.
• Ability to critically appraise scientific data.
• Fluent in English.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks for field-based medical roles.
• Knowledge of industry codes of conduct.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced working environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel globally as needed.
• A full driving license is essential.
• Solution-oriented with the capacity to work collaboratively.
• Exceptional focus on customer service.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to present feasible solutions.
• A PhD or MD equivalent is highly desirable.
• Desired knowledge and/or experience in specific therapy areas.
• Fluency in at least one additional language is highly desirable.
