This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance to the NNSA UK Team Lead and the W93 Federal Program Manager for the W93/UK Replacement Warhead.

• Support technical, program, and project management efforts for the UK Team Lead/W93 FPM.

• Coordinate with Defense Programs, NNSA, UK Program, and Department of Defense entities related to W93/UK-RW initiatives.

• Act as the Senior Program Support Engineer for established US/UK nuclear weapon exchanges under the 1958 Mutual Defense Agreement.

• Aid federal team members in negotiating requirements and guiding program planning and direction with the DoD (US Navy).

• Integrate program activities within the NNSA Nuclear Weapons Complex.

• Oversee planning and execution through Warhead Side Sessions for joint US/UK weapon program research, design, development, production, modification, surveillance, safety, and dismantlement.

• Evaluate the capability and capacity of the NNSA weapons production complex and coordinate facility and resource planning.

• Offer guidance in developing or revising policies, requirements, and procedures for UK program compatibility assessment, qualification, production, and procurement.

• Ensure integration within the nuclear weapons complex and deliver on program commitments.

• Maintain accountability to NNSA, US Navy, and UK senior leadership regarding program performance and commitments.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science; a degree in business, project/program management, or a related field with relevant experience may be acceptable.

• Active Q or Top Secret security clearance.

• A minimum of 15 years of technical experience in weapons/nuclear weapons and delivery platforms.

• Experience in program/project management or systems engineering, nuclear weapons system sustainment, or acquisition, including international programs.

• Proven technical knowledge of nuclear weapons, preferably SLBMs.

• Familiarity with NNSA and Navy Strategic Systems Programs is preferred.

• Experience managing interactions between NNSA/DOE, Nuclear National Laboratories, Nuclear Production Agencies, and the DoD.

• Experience with NNSA/DoD interagency operations.

• Knowledge of NNSA Nuclear Weapons programs and activities, including missions, policies, objectives, management principles, and processes, along with analytical/evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and enhancing organizational effectiveness and efficiency, particularly regarding the 6.X process.

• Willingness to travel 30–50%, including international travel.
