This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a dedicated portfolio of around 50 of the largest school districts in the nation.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value opportunities within the assigned accounts.
• Drive the adoption of new solutions, enhance usage, and foster contract growth with measurable results.
• Engage directly with superintendents, associate superintendents, decision-makers at the cabinet level, and boards of education.
• Create and implement comprehensive, multi-year account plans for each district assigned.
• Lead ACT’s efforts in responding to large district RFPs, including solution development, cost estimation, and requirements gathering.
• Navigate intricate procurement processes that involve multiple stakeholders, funding sources, and budget cycles.
• Advise districts on data utilization post-adoption and share best practices.
• Influence internal product, pricing, and delivery decisions based on the needs of major districts.
• Collaborate with state partnership teams and field sales teams on strategies and shared accounts.
• Represent ACT at national and regional events while maintaining connections within large-district leadership networks.
• Minimum of 7 years of substantial experience in sales or working within large K-12 school districts.
• An established network of senior district leaders, either as current or former clients or through a senior position within a district.
• Capability to influence and engage with district senior leadership and decision-makers from the outset.
• In-depth knowledge of district priorities, budget cycles, funding mechanisms, and procurement processes.
• Proven success in closing complex, multi-year deals in competitive settings.
• Comprehensive understanding of the K-12 assessment landscape, policy, competitive dynamics, and district assessment adoption processes.
• Exceptional negotiation, consultative selling, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to gather and leverage competitive intelligence.
• Skill in building relationships across the organization.
• Strong communication abilities across all levels of the organization.
• Robust analytical skills and the capability to devise logical solutions to complex problems.
• Proficiency in setting goals and priorities and managing tasks to completion.
• Access to a central hub airport.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
