Program Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage with both new and existing employers to promote CAREERS’ programs and create internship opportunities for students.

• Oversee and coordinate student internship programs by recruiting students and employers, facilitating placements with educational institutions, and monitoring student progress.

• Develop and sustain positive, long-term relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including employers, employer associations, students, parents, schools, educators, Indigenous communities, and other partners.

• Conduct in-person presentations for employer partners and students regarding CAREERS programming, initiatives, and events.

• Assess community sector needs and available resources; implement strategies for CAREERS programming and events accordingly.

• Collaborate with other departments within CAREERS as necessary to advance the organization’s mission.

• Work alongside team members and support CAREERS events to achieve favorable outcomes for schools, students, and employer partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of satisfactory criminal and child welfare checks is mandatory.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

• Relevant experience and/or education in industry, project management, education, or career development is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) database tools.

• Actively engaged in community involvement and/or volunteer work.

• Self-driven with a strong motivation to achieve results, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and coordination skills.

• Proven ability to drive results and growth, with a history of successful sales or project completion and the ability to establish sustainable relationships.

• A collaborative team player who excels in fostering community impact and can engage effectively with employers and educators at all organizational levels to support student development while addressing employer needs.
