This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work in conjunction with Project Management Teams (including Program Vice Presidents, Program Managers, and Project Leaders) to develop, review, and update project and program budgets, forecasts, estimate-at-completion (EAC), along with related reporting and analysis.

• Lead contract kick-off meetings to ensure uniformity and efficiency in CostPoint project setup, project billing and accounting, and adherence to contractual obligations and requirements with financial implications.

• Collaborate with the accounting department on project setup structure and processes.

• Establish and manage CostPoint project workforce to oversee labor charges on projects; collaborate with the program management team to communicate personnel ceilings and budgets to project team members.

• Monitor personnel spending against budgets as necessary.

• Oversee and review project and program expenditures for accuracy and consistency.

• Work alongside the accounting department to address any discrepancies or misclassifications of expenditures.

• Analyze, monitor, and report on project financial performance (revenue, cost, margins) and identify potential deviations from budget or forecasts, presenting findings to management.

• Develop and suggest corrective actions or improvements as required.

• Assist in the subcontractor/vendor cost management lifecycle, including the setup of Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, tracking subcontractor/vendor invoicing and payments, and preparing documentation for subcontractor accruals.

• Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to ensure subcontractor funding is current, established, and aligned with the prime contract.

• Actively partner with the program management team to understand and monitor program risks and challenges, ensuring necessary risk mitigation activities are implemented to prevent performance issues.

• Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of client status reports, integrated program reviews, and/or ad-hoc program-related financial requests from clients, internal management, and other stakeholders.

• Review and authorize client invoices for submission to customers.

• Work with the Project Accounting and Billing Department to address client inquiries related to billings and to review and resolve unbilled charges.

• Monitor, track, and forecast project expenditures for both labor and non-labor (travel/ODCs).

• Manage labor category expenditures on T&M contracts with labor category ceilings.

• Collaborate with the Pricing Department and Program Management teams in the development of price proposals and cost estimates, including documentation of pricing assumptions and basis of estimates.

• Support audit requirements from federal agencies (DCAA/DCMA/Other) as well as internal and external auditors.

• Aid in the development or enhancement of project control processes, procedures, and systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Project/Program Control role within a government contracting environment; experience with FFP OTA is preferred.

• Experience in managing Program Control teams.

• Proficiency in Deltek Costpoint.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization.

• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and consistency.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Advanced MS Excel skills are required.
