This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Contract & Subcontract Operations
• Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts and subcontracts, teaming agreements, and consulting arrangements
• Draft, assess, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements and modifications
• Convert prime agreement requirements into actionable subcontract frameworks
• Maintain records of subcontracts, deliverables, milestones, and commercial terms
• Ensure Milestone & Invoice Readiness
• Develop and manage tools for milestone tracking and contract execution
• Coordinate the development of acceptance packages across technical, program, and finance stakeholders
• Create invoice-support packages and readiness documentation
• Identify and highlight contractual and compliance risks, such as ambiguous terms, flow-down gaps, undocumented scope changes, and potential invoice or acceptance exposure before they escalate into program or legal issues
• Maintain documentation that is ready for audits and submissions
• Build Scalable Contract Operations
• Design templates, trackers, governance processes, and escalation pathways
• Develop processes that align with the current state of the program while establishing a foundation for future growth
• Enhance discipline around contract execution without hindering delivery
• Set standards for documentation, reporting, and contract governance
• Function independently and effectively without predefined playbooks, established predecessors, or a dedicated contracts team to delegate tasks to
• Support Program Leadership
• Conduct assessments of change impacts and analyze modifications
• Develop actionable recommendations for leadership consideration
• Assist with customer communications, clarification requests, and issue resolution
• Escalate complex issues along with facts, options, and suggested courses of action
• Proven experience in administering and negotiating contracts and subcontracts within a U.S. defense contracting context
• Skilled in drafting, redlining, and negotiating contract language
• Experience in translating prime contract requirements into subcontract flow-downs
• Background in supporting milestone-based deliverables and contract execution
• Capability to establish lightweight, repeatable processes in fast-paced or developing environments
• Ability to work independently within a matrixed organization
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making sound decisions without complete information, and adapting as the program evolves
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
