This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Contribute to the advancement of the Master's program in Neurorobotics while assisting with student recruitment efforts.
• Conduct Master classes and expert seminars in English focusing on machine learning, decision models, adaptive systems, and AI-supported quality assurance.
• Provide academic supervision, mentoring, and support for project and research initiatives; design and assess portfolio evaluations, examinations, and Master's theses.
• Execute practice-oriented research and transfer projects in AI, robotics, and autonomous systems in collaboration with industry, healthcare, mobility partners, international collaborators, and research institutions.
• Initiate research partnerships and secure third-party funding to enhance applied research at our university.
• Publish research findings in academic journals and present at relevant conferences; represent the university at expert discussions and industry events.
• Be prepared to engage in research-related product development, founding/start-up initiatives, and patent applications.
• Involve yourself in the academic self-governance of the university, support the ongoing development of degree programs, and participate in international collaborations.
• A completed university degree.
• Proven pedagogical and didactic skills, demonstrated through practical experience.
• Strong aptitude for independent scholarly work, typically evidenced by an above-average doctorate in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related disciplines.
• Significant accomplishments in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods, with a minimum of five years of professional experience, including at least three years outside the higher education sector — ideally in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, or data science.
• Capability and willingness to conduct teaching, research, and transfer activities in English.
• Readiness to develop and enhance higher education teaching skills, particularly in (generative) AI-supported education.
• An innovative teaching approach: eagerness to create and implement new didactic formats in education.
• Interdisciplinary openness: readiness to collaborate with colleagues in robotics, neuroscience, additive manufacturing, and digital business.
• Practice- and transfer-oriented: proven experience in applying AI technologies in real-world settings such as industry, healthcare, or mobility.
• International perspective: experience in global contexts or the desire to integrate worldwide developments in AI and intelligent systems into teaching and research.
• Commitment to institutional development: willingness to actively contribute to the establishment and growth of a new university.
• Research profile: a discernible focus on research in deep learning, reinforcement learning, intelligent control systems, or AI-driven sensor technologies.
• Knowledge and technology transfer: recognition of research as a connection between science, industry, and society.
