This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with clients and account teams to grasp business goals, technical needs, existing environments, and desired outcomes, positioning Professional Services as a vital component of customer success.
• Facilitate scoping sessions, discovery workshops, and solution discussions to identify and suggest the right blend of packaged and custom service offerings that enhance onboarding, adoption, and realization of business value.
• Create and present professional services proposals, solution recommendations, pricing, and Statements of Work (SOWs) that effectively communicate scope, value, delivery methodology, and customer outcomes.
• Work alongside Sales, Customer Success, Implementation Engineering, Technical Program Managers, and delivery partners to ensure service engagements are accurately defined, staffed, and set up for successful execution.
• Assist the commercial sales process by guiding clients through service pricing, contractual terms, project assumptions, and implementation strategies while addressing objections and minimizing risks.
• Propel the achievement of Professional Services bookings and margin targets through precise forecasting, opportunity management, and strategic engagement with key customer accounts.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Account Executives and Customer Success teams by identifying services opportunities, coaching stakeholders on service offerings, and integrating services into the standard customer journey.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to convert customer requirements into detailed implementation plans and ensure a smooth transition from sales to execution.
• Relay customer trends, market feedback, and opportunities for operational improvements to leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance service offerings, go-to-market strategies, and delivery efficiency.
• Develop and deliver enablement content that informs internal teams about Professional Services capabilities, value propositions, methodologies, and best practices for positioning and selling services.
• Occasionally lead implementation engagements of core Harness modules (CI/CD/STO/IacM) for new customer prospects that require a sales-sensitive implementation to serve as the "landing vehicle" for substantial deals, through a "Paid Pilot" product sales approach.
• Instill confidence in prospects regarding their Digital/DevSecOps/AI transformation journey and discuss best practices, drawing from personal experience as a technical leader and veteran in software engineering/devops.
• Over 5 years of experience in a technical sales, professional services, solutions consulting, or customer-facing role within the software delivery, DevOps, cloud, or developer tooling sectors.
• More than 5 years of experience as a manager or technical lead for teams in software engineering, devops software delivery, DevOps, cloud, developer tooling, etc.
• Strong comprehension of modern software delivery practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, platform engineering, cloud-native technologies, and best practices in the software development lifecycle.
• Proven track record of consulting with customers on technical transformation initiatives, aiding organizations in improving software delivery processes, developer productivity, and operational results.
• Experience in scoping complex technical engagements, drafting service proposals, and creating clear Statements of Work (SOWs) that align customer objectives with delivery outcomes.
• Demonstrated success in positioning and selling professional services offerings, including scoping, discovery, solution development, pricing, forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence both technical and business audiences.
• Experience in building trusted partnerships across Sales, Customer Success, Services, and Engineering teams to foster successful customer outcomes.
• Proficiency with Salesforce and related sales operations tools for opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline visibility, and quoting.
• A customer-centric mindset, solid business acumen, and the ability to balance technical depth with commercial goals.
