Professional Services Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee database deployments, encompassing design, configuration, migration, and integration tasks.

• Conduct architectural assessments and provide recommendations for applications and databases, ensuring they maintain high availability and scalability.

• Execute database performance optimization, troubleshooting, and health assessments to enhance reliability and efficiency.

• Serve as a trusted advisor in a client-facing role, offering insights on scaling, architectural enhancements, and database best practices.

• Develop and present thorough technical documentation, project plans, and reports to guarantee project transparency and customer success.

• Guide and educate both customers and internal teams on MySQL/MariaDB database functionalities, tools, and best practices.

• Manage and sustain SQL databases and Linux environments with a hands-on approach.

⛳️ Requirements

• More than 8 years of experience working with MySQL/MariaDB.

• Proven track record in comprehensive database migrations.

• Significant experience leading database deployments, including design, configuration, migration, and integration.

• Strong history of conducting architectural reviews and making recommendations for high availability and database optimization.

• Demonstrated proficiency in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and health checks.

• Excellent consultative and client-facing abilities, capable of recommending and implementing database best practices and scaling solutions.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in creating detailed technical documentation, project plans, and reports.

• Proven capability to mentor customers and internal teams regarding MySQL/MariaDB functionalities and best practices.

• Practical administration and maintenance experience with SQL databases and Linux environments.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
