This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Design and architect solutions for financial reporting and compliance tailored to intricate sales-compensation frameworks, ensuring data precision, audit readiness, and conformity with ASC 606.
• Take ownership of the quality and performance of the complete reporting model, sustaining long-term hygiene and data integrity across customer implementations.
• Act as the senior accounting point of escalation, advising consultants on compliant design choices and resolving intricate reporting issues.
• Create and uphold best-practice frameworks for commission capitalization and amortization in accordance with ASC 340, ASC 606, and IFRS 15.
• Convert distinct customer needs into efficient and repeatable reporting configurations and dashboards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to shape data-output standards and compliance-ready enhancements to products.
• Enhance team capabilities by contributing templates, documentation, and mentorship that elevate the standard for delivery excellence.
• Over 7 years of experience in financial modeling, data integrity, or reporting in sales compensation, ERP, or financial systems contexts.
• Background in accounting or finance—degree, MBA, CPA, or equivalent practical experience—with a strong understanding of ASC 606 and related standards.
• CPA or formal accounting qualification, whether educational or professional.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing or designing financial reporting systems or data models associated with compensation.
• Proficient in advanced Excel or Sheets for complex, large-dataset modeling; familiarity with SQL or scripting is preferred.
• Proven consulting or implementation experience in customer-facing roles through the discovery, design, and delivery phases.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and adept at working independently in a dynamic, client-facing environment.
