Senior Accountant – Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Develop Accounting and Tax frameworks and processes to enhance enterprise value.

• Continuously refine Accounting and Tax procedures across our four legal entities and global structure.

• Review and enhance our existing group-wide entity configuration from an Accounting and Tax perspective.

• Create Transfer Pricing Policies.

• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

• Manage accounting and tax submissions.

• Actively contribute to Policy Development (e.g., expense management, travel, asset activation).

• Oversee Daily Operations.

• Supervise and evaluate ongoing accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, local VAT, and payroll accounting.

• Conduct intercompany and general account reconciliations to guarantee precision and consistency.

• Serve as the primary contact for senior external and internal stakeholders.

• Assist the CFO with both operational and strategic initiatives.

• Lead and participate in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

• Aid in the coordination and execution of the annual audit and external financing rounds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed training as an Accounting Clerk or an equivalent qualification.

• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting and taxation as per Swiss accounting and reporting standards.

• Practical experience with Swiss Tax and Group Accounting.

• Background in fast-paced environments (e.g., Start-Up, Scale-Up, Consulting, Audit firm).

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in a finance-related position, ideally within a start-up or scale-up context.

• A self-motivated and collaborative approach, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.

• Exceptional communication abilities in both German and English.
