Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accurately measure and document distances and angles on, above, or below the land surface, including boundary markers, ALTAs, topographical features, and other specified indicators.

• Employ a range of contemporary surveying instruments, manual documentation, computer-aided design software, and databases to gather and log data regarding geological areas in accordance with project specifications.

• Investigate historical maps, land records, previous survey findings, and land title details as necessary to compare and validate current measurements and resolve boundary line inquiries.

• Generate reports and maps that meet customer or project specifications, incorporating data from field measurements, boundary markers, and topographical features.

• Develop two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional computer visualizations of property attributes, such as boundary lines, geological points of interest, existing structures, water features, and utility lines.

• Adhere to established legal procedures to define official land and water boundaries for government entities, real estate developers, and private individuals, used during property transactions, leases, and disputes.

• Liaise with architects, engineers, and construction personnel as necessary throughout land development projects to confirm geological and property boundary information and assist in building design when required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in surveying or civil engineering.

• Professional Land Surveying license.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of mapping principles.

• Self-driven with effective time management skills and the ability to work outdoors and walk as necessary.

• Proficient in computer drafting software.
