Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Supervise and direct survey technicians

• Conduct reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles

• Engage in thorough research at municipal, county, and state levels

• Assess surveys, field notes, maps, aerial images, and other documentation to pinpoint possible project limitations

• Establish the optimal strategy to ensure projects are completed punctually and within budget

• Execute calculations for quantities and volumes

• Maintain daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team

• Collaborate with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team

• Provide progress updates, address challenges, and manage plan alterations

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licenses considered advantageous

• Essential field and office experience in land surveying

• Strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and generating additional revenue

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

• Capability to follow directions and develop within the company

• Proven experience in managing survey crews

• Self-motivated and driven

• Ability to work remotely

• Proficient in using AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is necessary

• Familiarity with Quickbase for job status logging is a plus

• Availability to be on call one weekend every three to four months
