Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Supervising and directing survey technicians

• Conducting reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles

• Carrying out comprehensive research at municipal, county, and state levels

• Analyzing surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and other documentation to pinpoint potential project limitations

• Identifying the optimal strategy to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget

• Calculating quantities and volumes as required

• Engaging in daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team

• Working collaboratively with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team for progress updates, discussing obstacles, and addressing plan modifications

⛳️ Requirements

• A current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licenses being advantageous.

• Experience in both fieldwork and office settings related to land surveying is crucial, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

• Demonstrated success in securing new clients and generating revenue is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for effective teamwork and the ability to follow directions and advance within the company.

• Proven experience in managing survey crews is necessary.

• Self-motivation, ambition, and the capability to work remotely are critical for success in this position.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required, and familiarity with Quickbase for job status logging is a bonus.
