Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Supervise and direct the activities of survey technicians.

• Conduct reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles.

• Engage in comprehensive research at the municipal, county, and state levels.

• Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and other documentation to identify possible project limitations and devise optimal strategies to complete projects within deadlines and budget constraints.

• Execute calculations involving quantities and volumes.

• Maintain daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team.

• Work in conjunction with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team to provide project updates, discuss issues, and handle plan modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licenses being advantageous.

• Essential field and office experience in land surveying, along with a keen attention to detail.

• A demonstrated history of attracting new clients and generating revenue.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective teamwork and the capacity to accept guidance and develop within the organization.

• A track record of effectively managing survey crews.

• Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working independently in a remote setting are vital for success in this position.

• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required, and familiarity with Quickbase for job status logging is a plus.

• The role necessitates being on call for one weekend every three to four months.
