Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Supervise and direct survey technicians.

• Conduct reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles.

• Execute thorough research at municipal, county, and state levels.

• Assess surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and other documentation to pinpoint potential project constraints and determine the most effective way to complete projects within deadlines and budgets.

• Calculate quantities and volumes accurately.

• Maintain daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team.

• Work alongside drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team to provide updates on project status, address challenges, and manage plan revisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licenses being advantageous.

• Essential field and office experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

• Proven success in attracting new clients and generating additional revenue.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective teamwork and the ability to follow instructions and advance within the company.

• Demonstrated experience in managing survey crews.

• Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working remotely are key traits for success in this position.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required, along with familiarity using Quickbase for job status logging being a plus.

• The role necessitates being on call for one weekend every three to four months.
