Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Supervising and directing survey technicians

• Conducting reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles

• Performing thorough research at the municipal, county, and state levels

• Analyzing surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and other resources to pinpoint potential project limitations

• Establishing the optimal strategy to ensure projects are completed punctually and within financial constraints

• Executing calculations for quantities and volumes

• Engaging in daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team

• Working in tandem with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team to provide progress updates and address challenges

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licensures considered advantageous.

• Essential field and office experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

• A demonstrated history of attracting new clients and generating revenue growth.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective teamwork and the ability to follow directions and evolve within the company.

• A proven ability to manage survey crews.

• Self-driven, motivated, and capable of remote work are vital attributes for success in this position.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required, as well as familiarity with Quickbase for logging job statuses being a plus.
