Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Supervising and directing survey technicians

• Conducting reviews of boundaries, easements, deeds, and titles

• Performing in-depth research at municipal, county, and state levels

• Analyzing surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and other related materials

• Recognizing potential constraints for projects

• Establishing optimal strategies to ensure projects are completed punctually and within budget

• Carrying out calculations for quantities and volumes

• Engaging in daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team

• Working collaboratively with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team for updates on status and plan modifications

⛳️ Requirements

• A current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with multi-state licensure being advantageous.

• Essential field and office experience in land surveying, with a keen attention to detail.

• A demonstrated history of securing new clients and generating additional revenue.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective teamwork and the capacity to follow guidance and progress within the company.

• Proven experience in supervising survey crews.

• Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working remotely are vital attributes for this role.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required, and familiarity with Quickbase for tracking job statuses is a plus.
