Professional Land Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Supervise and lead survey technicians

• Conduct boundary, easement, deed, and title assessments

• Execute thorough research at municipal, county, and state levels

• Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, aerial imagery, and additional documents to pinpoint potential project obstacles

• Identify the optimal strategies to ensure projects are completed punctually and within budget

• Carry out calculations for quantities and volumes

• Maintain daily communication with crew chiefs and the operations team

• Work collaboratively with drafting managers, design personnel, and the operations team

• Provide project status updates, address challenges, and manage plan adjustments

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license is mandatory, with additional state licenses being advantageous

• Field and office experience in land surveying is crucial

• Strong attention to detail

• Proven history of acquiring new clients and generating revenue

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated experience in managing survey crews

• Self-driven, motivated, and capable of working independently

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Carlson Survey is required

• Familiarity with Quickbase for job status logging is a plus

• Availability to be on call for one weekend every three to four months
