This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Carry out comprehensive forensic investigations into structural failures, collapses, and construction defects.
• Conduct site inspections and collect pertinent data to support forensic evaluations.
• Apply engineering principles and methodologies to analyze and evaluate structural concerns.
• Draft clear and concise technical reports that detail findings and conclusions.
• Provide expert testimony in legal matters as necessary.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and standards relevant to structural engineering.
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Must be a Licensed Civil or Structural Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Structural Engineer (S.E.) licensure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adhere to deadlines.
• Previous experience providing expert testimony in legal proceedings is advantageous.
