This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Conduct professional development workshops that equip transitioning service members for civilian careers, focusing on resumes, interviewing, communication, and networking skills.
β’ Guide students in leveraging LinkedIn and other professional networking platforms to establish a robust professional identity and effectively convey their military experiences.
β’ Develop and uphold the curriculum alongside a network of mentors, guest speakers, and partner resources, emphasizing key areas of career readiness.
β’ Produce engaging digital content that showcases the program's impact and celebrates the achievements of students and alumni.
β’ Assist the Career Placement Manager in ensuring studentsβ career-readiness materials, such as resumes and LinkedIn profiles, are polished and prepared for their job search.
β’ Possess three or more years of experience in teaching, training, coaching, professional development, or adult education.
β’ Have experience working with active-duty service members, veterans, or military-connected populations in a teaching or mentoring capacity.
β’ Capable of facilitating engaging sessions and tailoring content to meet the needs of diverse adult learners.
β’ Proficient in teaching LinkedIn and professional networking, as well as creating clear and engaging presentations and digital content.
β’ Well-organized, with strong communication skills, and willing to reside in the San Diego area on Pacific Time.
β’ Preferred (not mandatory): Previous military service or experience assisting transitioning service members and veterans.
β’ Experience in establishing a network of mentors, speakers, or partner resources to support a program and its participants.
β’ Background in developing a social media or content presence for a program or organization.
β’ A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or familiarity with DoD SkillBridge, Transition Assistance Programs (TAP), or similar transition initiatives.
