Production Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Seek and guide new submissions in line with program interests.

• Establish and oversee a new business pipeline through proactive outreach to brokers.

• Collect competitor data and market insights to pinpoint areas for product and pricing enhancements.

• Underwrite risks associated with community associations by identifying and evaluating risk exposures.

• Manage renewals to maximize policy retention, including midterm servicing with various carriers and brokers.

• Cultivate relationships with brokers, providing outstanding experiences with each interaction.

• Ensure quality control, compliance, and accurate documentation.

• Recognize opportunities for increased efficiency through improvements in processes, procedures, and systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• At least 8 years of extensive underwriting experience with commercial package policies.

• Experience with Community Associations that have high CAT exposure is preferred.

• Professional designation(s) are advantageous.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including negotiation skills with the capacity to influence and persuade.

• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities.

• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and flexible/adaptable.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial lines products.

• Must have effective negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage a complex workload independently while exercising sound judgment.

• Proven ability to build and sustain broker relationships.
