This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Engaging directly with farms to assist in the deployment of Halter with our initial customers — this role involves hands-on activities rather than office-based tasks.
• Cultivating strong relationships with our innovative producers, gaining a deep understanding of their operations, and learning how our product can deliver genuine value in their context.
• Effectively communicating those insights back to our product and engineering teams in New Zealand, ensuring we consistently focus on building what is most important.
• Assisting in understanding the intricacies of cattle production in South America, including the animals, the land, and the practices, while sharing that knowledge throughout the organization.
• Engaging in critical thinking about the product from start to finish and identifying necessary improvements, fixes, or new developments.
• Collaborating with our initial customers to ensure they are maximizing their use of Halter and achieving tangible results.
• Partnering with the commercial team to ensure strong alignment as we expand.
• Performing any additional tasks required for Halter's success in South America.
• Experience in South American cattle production is essential.
• A strong passion for animals and the future of agriculture in the region.
• Technologically adept and genuinely interested in understanding the inner workings of our product.
• Excellent communication skills to translate field observations into clear, actionable feedback for a remote product and engineering team.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically about problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity, as this is an early-stage market entry where imperfections will arise; you'll thrive in this environment rather than feel frustrated.
• Quick learner with a strong drive to work diligently alongside a team engaged in pioneering efforts.
• A proactive attitude with the resilience to overcome challenges.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly, including weekends when necessary.
• Proficiency in Spanish is required; English proficiency is a significant advantage for collaboration with headquarters.
