This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Strengthen relationships with current customers by guiding and supporting joint sales initiatives to enhance assigned product lines and target markets.
• Aid Account or Strategic Account managers in finalizing qualified customer opportunities.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Strategic Account customers, branches, support teams, purchasing, and management.
• Engage in technical product development and pinpoint business opportunities for products.
• Stay informed about competing products and market dynamics.
• Offer technical product support for customers, Account Managers, and branches.
• Meet sales objectives for assigned product lines and/or target markets.
• Promote the success of assigned branches within the product line.
• Spearhead demand-generating initiatives in the designated market and product specialty.
• Build professional relationships with key associates and customer accounts.
• Suggest product applications and functionalities by analyzing specifications and assessing new product concepts.
• Evaluate competition, market trends, customer insights, and results from sales calls.
• Deliver training on products and end markets.
• Keep up-to-date with professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education and involvement in industry groups.
• Conduct product presentations and create sales tools and training materials.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials and execute sales strategies.
• Foster continuous improvement in sales performance and profitability.
• Oversee product-related customer support, feedback, and inquiries.
• Organize market research.
• Travel to customer locations and job sites, including necessary overnight trips.
• Perform other duties as trained and qualified.
• A 4-year college degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of sales experience in a business-to-business environment, particularly with large/strategic customer segments, or a proven track record in an Account Manager role.
• Product certification or a comparable technical qualification.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Availability to travel over 60% of the time as required, including overnight travel.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• Background checks and drug screenings may be necessary.
• Advanced knowledge of products and strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in researching and analyzing market conditions.
• Ability to recognize key competitors and customer trends.
• Skill in articulating end market needs and opportunities.
• Capability to identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancements.
• Competence in supporting sales and marketing with product expertise and technical knowledge.
• Proficiency in conducting product presentations.
• Ability to develop sales tools and training materials.
• Ability to manage and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Ability to understand safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, inventory sheets, and procedural manuals.
• Capacity to wear necessary personal protective equipment based on tasks or site conditions.
• Ability to navigate customer job sites, including traversing uneven surfaces.
• Competence in ascending and descending ladders or stairs as needed.
